NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- In July and August of 2018, the Israel Ministry of Tourism recorded record numbers of tourist arrivals from America. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022, an increase of 4% over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States during August 2022. That's a 13% growth over 2019.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) said it was exciting to see a rise in Israeli tourism from the United States. Already surpassing the record-breaking numbers of 2019, he added. "The United States has been the most important destination for tourism to Israel that is inbound. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19, we had been celebrating record-breaking figures of the number of tourists entering Israel every month.
Canada is home to 7,200 tourists in July 2022, and 6,000 tourists in August, isn't far from the United States.
Gal Hana, Consul to Canada and Director for Canada at the Israel Ministry of Tourism stated that it was exciting to see the Canadian tourism industry to Israel growing. "We aren't far off our record for 2019 and we expect that the increase in travel to Israel will continue to increase because Canadians feel more confident about traveling internationally."
Israel received more than 4.6 million international tourists in the year 2019 and this included 969.600 coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all tourists, no matter whether they're vaccinated. נווה פריצקי Israel has already hosted over 600,000.
