NEW YORK - Sep. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/- The Israel Ministry of Tourism today unveiled new records for the number of tourists coming in Israel from the United States in July and august. 78,000 visitors from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a four percent increase over the year before, and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than the number of visitors in 2019.

Eyal Carlin from North America was the Tourism Commissioner. "The United States has been the most important market for Israel's tourism inbound. Prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 we had record numbers of Israel's tourism entry every month.

Canada with 7,200 tourists in July 2022 and 6,000 in August, isn't far from the United States.

Israel welcomed more that 4.6 million tourists from abroad in 2019, with 969.600 being from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all tourists, no matter if they are immunized. Israel has already hosted more than 600,000.
