Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Break Tourism Entry The Numbers Come From the United States

NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022/PRNewswire/ -- In July and August 2018, the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record numbers of tourist arrivals from the United States. 78,000 visitors from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a 4% increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than 2019.

"It is so exciting to witness a new rise in the number of tourists visiting Israel from the United States, already reaching and surpassing our record-breaking numbers of 2019," stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. "The United States is our number one market for inbound tourism for Israel. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had record numbers of Israeli tourists entering Israel each month. We are extremely happy to have witnessed such a positive shift, and we expect it to continue throughout the months and years to come."

Canada with 7,200 tourists in July 2022 and 6,000 in August, isn't too far behind the United States.

"It is thrilling to see how tourism from Canada to Israel is booming," said Gal Hana Consul and Director of Canada of the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We aren't too far from our record 2019 numbers and we anticipate that the growth in travel to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians remain at ease traveling abroad."

Israel hosted more than 4.6million visitors in the year 2019, of which 969,600 originated from the United States. Since May when the country was is now open to all tourists, regardless of their vaccination status, more than 600,000.400 US visitors have visited Israel.
