NEW YORK - Sep. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- The Israel Ministry of Tourism today released new records for the number of tourists coming in Israel from the United States in July and august. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022 which was an increase by 4% over 2019 and 71,000 travelers from the United States during August 2022. That's 13% increase over the year before.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) said it was thrilling to witness a rise in Israeli tourism from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019, he said. "The United States is our number one market for travel to Israel prior to the COVID-19 epidemic, we were celebrating record-breaking tourism entry numbers each month. We're extremely pleased to witness this positive change and we anticipate an upswing for the many months and years to come."
Canada is not far from that of the United States of America, is poised to surpass the tourist numbers to Israel. It had 7,200 visitors in July 2022 and 6,000 in August.

Israel hosted more than 4.6million visitors in the year 2019, 969,600 of which originated from the United States. Since May, when the country opened to all visitors regardless of vaccination status over 600,000.400 US visitors have visited Israel.
