NEW YORK - Sep. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/- The Israel Ministry of Tourism today released new records for tourist arrivals to Israel from the United States in July and august. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States during July 2022, an increase of 4% over the year before and 71,000 visitors from the United States during August 2022. That's 13% increase over the year before.

Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) stated that it was exciting to observe an increase in tourism to Israel coming from the United States. Already surpassing the record-breaking numbers of 2019 he stated. "The United States is the most popular destination for Israel inbound tourism. Prior to the COVID-19 Pandemichit, we had record-breaking figures of tourist entry every month. It's a great positive shift that we are very happy about and anticipate an upward trajectory for years to follow."

Canada which isn't too far behind the United States of America, is poised to surpass the tourist numbers to Israel. It had 7,200 visitors in July 2022 as well as 6,000 August.

"We are not far from our record for 2019 and we are anticipating that the increase in travel to Israel will continue to increase because Canadians feel more confident traveling internationally."

Israel welcomed more that 4.6 million tourists from abroad in the year 2019 and this included 969.600 of them coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all tourists, no matter whether they have been vaccination-free. Israel has already hosted over 600,000.
