Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Break Tourism Entry Numbers from the United States

NEW YORK - September 8 2022, /PRNewswire/- New record breaking tourist arrivals to the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a 4% increase over 2019, and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than 2019.

Eyal Carlin from North America was the Tourism Commissioner. "The United States remains our most important market for Israel-bound tourism. Before the COVID-19 outbreak that was in the news, we had record-breaking tourism numbers each month. We are delighted to see this positive shift and are expecting an upward trend that will continue for months and even years.

Just like the United States, Canada is also on track to exceed its tourist arrivals in Israel, reaching 7,200 visitors in July 2022 , and 6,000 in August.

Gal Hana, Consul for Canada and Director of the Israel Ministry of Tourism stated that "it's amazing to see how Canada’s tourism is rebounding." "We are not too far away from our record 2019 numbers and we anticipate that this growth in the number of travelers to Israel will further increase as Canadians continue to feel more comfortable traveling internationally."

Israel has welcomed more than 4.6 million international visitors in 2019 and this included 969.600 of them coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all visitors, regardless whether they're vaccination-free. It already has hosted more than 600,000 visitors.
